Harry Marks is rightfully acknowledged by many as the father of modern broadcast motion graphics. From a typography background in England, he eventually moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1960s, where he worked for both ABC and CBS as Vice President and Creative Director for On-Air Promotions. He also served as an independent consultant to NBC for six years. Harry initiated the move from animation stands to computer generated graphics, and in doing so forever influenced what we see on television. He is an Apple Master, and was
the first recipient of the Broadcast Designers Association Lifetime Achievement Award. Harry remains active to this day learning new tools and teaching them to others. He's also an incredibly nice guy. We're proud to have him write our foreword.
