Reset HP LASERJET 1500 2500 Cartridges Drum

Instructions for printing with empty Image-Drum for HP Laserjet 2500/1500:

!!! Works not before toner/drum is really empty

• Printer don’t print on further and says insert new drum/toner. Doesn’t work if you can print and the toner/drum LED is on
  
• Print until really empty and use instructions!!!

1) Power-on the printer wait for stand-by.

2) Push the big green go-button and keep pushing down this button.

3) While pushing the green go-button power-off the printer.(Do this within a few seconds)

4) Power-on the printer but keep pushing the green button.

5) The printer’s initialisation process seems to be normal (The LEDs went bright...) Keep on pushing the green button as long as the printer’s LEDs went off (takes about 20 seconds or longer till the LEDs are off!)

6) If the LEDs are off you can release the green button (Remember: During the whole action you had to keep pushing this button!)

7) The LEDs went bright again. Wait until initialisation is ready.

8) If the Image-Drum LED is still bright(orange) push the red abort button(above the green go-button)

9) The Image-Drum LED went off now and is also off after the next Power-On(s) of the printer.

I use my printer with the „empty” Image-Drum now since 3 months!
